Carpenter / Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry techniques and construction practices. This role requires a hands-on approach to building, repairing, and maintaining structures while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Carpenter/Laborer will work closely with other tradespeople and contribute to a variety of projects, from residential renovations to commercial constructions.

Duties

• Perform framing, trim work, and finish carpentry tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Execute concrete forming and plastering as needed.
• Install fixtures, cabinets, doors, and siding with precision.
• Conduct heavy lifting and physical labor as required on job sites.
• Assist in the restoration of properties affected by water damage or mold remediation.
• Engage in roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills / What we are looking for

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the day
• Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous construction or carpentry experience is a plus but not required
• Experienced in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and fabrication.
• Knowledgeable in construction site safety protocols and practices.
• Familiarity with caulking, stucco application, rebar installation, and metal stud framing.
• Strong ability to perform restoration work including mold remediation and water damage restoration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with maintenance person experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
