Job Title: Carpenter Supervisor / Foreman

Reporting To: Production Manager

Job Summary

The Carpenter Supervisor / Foreman is responsible for supervising carpentry works at the factory , ensuring quality workmanship, timely execution, safety compliance, and efficient manpower utilization as per approved drawings and project schedules.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Execution

• Supervise daily carpentry activities at site/factory as per drawings and work instructions.
• Allocate work to carpenters, helpers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper installation of furniture, fixtures, modular units, doors, panels, and woodwork.

Quality Control

• Ensure carpentry work meets approved designs, quality standards, and finish requirements.
• Conduct regular quality checks and rectify defects or rework issues.
• Coordinate with QC and design teams for clarifications.

Material & Tools Management

• Check availability of materials, hardware, and tools before execution.
• Monitor material usage and control wastage.
• Maintain tools, machines, and safety equipment.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Site Engineer, Interior Designer, and other trades (electrical, painting, polishing).
• Report daily progress, manpower deployment, and issues to management.
• Assist in measurement, snag list closure, and handover activities.

Safety & Discipline

• Ensure adherence to safety rules and use of PPE at site/factory.
• Maintain discipline and productivity among workers.
• Ensure housekeeping standards at work areas.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of carpentry work, furniture fabrication, and installation.
• Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications.
• Leadership and team-handling skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Time management and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Carpentry or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in carpentry, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in interior fit-out, retail, commercial, or residential projects preferred.

Work Location

• Factory
• Duty Time - 9 am to 8 pm
• Mon - Saturday

Salary

• 25000/- to 35000/- Pm
