Carpentry Cost Controller

Job Summary

The Cost Control – Carpentry professional is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling all costs related to carpentry and joinery works to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets. The role requires strong cost control expertise within GCC construction or fit-out environments, with a preference for candidates available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control costs related to carpentry and joinery works, including materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Prepare project budgets, cost plans, and cost breakdowns for carpentry scopes.
• Track actual costs against approved budgets and report variances.
• Analyze material usage, wastage, and productivity for carpentry works.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.
• Review and verify subcontractor invoices, variations, and progress claims.
• Coordinate with site, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure cost efficiency.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain accurate cost records and documentation in compliance with company procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in cost control, specifically in carpentry/joinery or fit-out projects.
• Proven GCC experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry materials, methods, and cost structures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP or cost control systems is an advantage.
• Good understanding of BOQs, contracts, and variation management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given preference.
