JOB TITLE: Cart Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Parks & Recreation – Tanglewood Golf Course
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Golf Operations Manager

SUMMARY:

Position assists with general maintenance and daily operations of Tanglewood Golf Course. Responsible for cleaning, staging, and maintaining golf carts, assisting customers, supporting clubhouse operations, and helping maintain overall facility cleanliness. Weekend, morning, and afternoon shifts are available. This is a part-time, temporary position. Must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Golf Cart Operations

A. Cleans, washes, and dries golf carts after use.

B. Checks carts for damage, mechanical issues, and cleanliness; reports concerns to supervisor.

C. Ensures carts are operable and properly staged for daily play.

D. Safely operates golf carts and other light equipment following all safety procedures.

E. Maintains cart storage areas in a clean and organized manner.

F. Assists with monitoring cart usage and availability during peak hours.

Facility Maintenance Activities

A. Assists with general upkeep of the clubhouse, equipment storage facility, and surrounding grounds.

B. Empties trash receptacles and maintains the cleanliness of common areas.

C. Assists with range operations, including picking up range balls as directed.

D. Performs light maintenance duties as assigned.

E. Secures facility areas at closing as instructed by supervisor.

Customer Service Activities

A. Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner.

B. Assists golfers with loading and unloading golf bags.

C. Provides general information regarding course rules and cart policies.

D. Communicates effectively with pro shop staff and supervisors.

E. Responds to supervisor requests in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
