SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our CAS, with a primary focus on supporting a high-net-worth family office client. This role goes beyond traditional accounting. It blends technical expertise with exceptional client service, operational coordination, and trusted-advisor responsibilities.
You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations while also overseeing critical family office functions such as bill pay, insurance renewals, and coordination with attorneys, trustees, financial advisors, and other third-party professionals. This position is ideal for a proactive, organized, and discreet professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building strong long-term client relationships.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes 55+ hours a week during tax season.
Seniors must possess Bachelor of Accountancy as well as a CPA or EA license. This may be substituted with equivalent years of experience and continued education in some cases.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Manage bill pay through platforms such as Bill.com, including vendor management and approval workflows.
- Coordinate insurance renewals (property, liability, auto, umbrella, specialty coverages) and track policy expirations.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison with attorneys, trustees, investment advisors, bankers, insurance brokers, and other external partners.
- Maintain schedules, documentation, and follow-ups for ongoing family office initiatives.
- Track personal and household expenses, ensuring proper categorization and reporting for planning and tax purposes.
- Handle ad-hoc operational tasks with a high degree of confidentiality and judgment.
- Review monthly and annual close processes for multiple clients.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, financial models, and support financial planning initiatives.
- Track budgets, analyze variances, and provide insights to aid decision-making.
- Handle compliance filings including 1099s and sales & use tax.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing day-to-day questions and requests.
- Participate in client meetings to review financial results, KPIs, and upcoming operational needs.
- Review and oversee the work completed by junior accounting staff.
- Train, mentor, and support the growth and development of junior team members.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and implementing accounting systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows and client operations.
- Maintain clean, complete ledgers and support external audits as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting; prior family office or high-net-worth client experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Intacct, Bill.com, and related tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, advisors, and high-profile individuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
