Description:


  • Fulfill the responsibilities of a community outreach/Juvenile Court Community Liaison (JCCL), and provide case management.
  • Provide targeted intervention services using the risk, needs, and responsivity framework to JCS-referred clients in the 5th judicial district
  • Maintain communication with 5th District Central Intake Officers (CIO).
  • Provide contact to youth that is face-to-face or, at a minimum, contact via phone, text, or email.
  • Youth supervision and overall number of contacts and the dosage of individual, group, and family interventions will be determined according to each youth’s service level and at the direction of the referring JCO.
  • Contact families within 5 days of the referral date.
  • Provide transportation for youth and families as needed.
  • Assist youth in completing probation requirements, including community service, restitution, cooperation with treatment, and other interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services, including direct responses as directed by the assigned Juvenile Court Officer or as identified by the youth and family.
  • Be able to provide testimony in court and attend staffing’s as needed.
  • Be able to provide drug and alcohol testing to clients as directed by the Juvenile Court Officer.\
  • Creatively utilize sanctions and rewards (provided by WCBS) to effectively address youth resistance and progress.
  • Be available to attend training opportunities provided by both WCBS and through outside programs.

Maintain a case file for each client on your caseload.

  • Provide documentation of direct contacts with youth and families on a monthly basis, including a summary of risk reduction activities and their progress toward probation requirements. Will also need to provide documentation of contact with other professionals providing services to youth and families.
  • Prepare and submit reports for youth in a timely manner on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Submit exit surveys to clients discharging from the program.
  • Maintain program availability all hours of the day, 365 days per year.
  • Abide by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (42 USC & 201 et seq.)
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

H.S. Diploma or GED required; B.A. in social science preferred; or an A.A. Degree and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of previous work/volunteer experience with kids under the age of 21.
