At Kearny Vista PSH, we believe that stability starts with a front door key. As a Case Manager Housing Specialist, you aren’t just managing a caseload—you are a stabilizer. You will support individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders as they transition from homelessness to independence.
You will be the primary advocate for tenants, helping them navigate the challenges of communal living, housing retention, and community integration. Whether you’re meeting in a resident’s unit, a community space, or out in the San Diego neighborhood, your goal is to ensure "home" remains a permanent reality.
What You Will Do to Change Lives
Be the Housing Expert: Use your specialized knowledge to address housing stabilization needs and prevent evictions before they happen.
Champion Recovery: Support residents with co-occurring disorders through behavioral health screenings, care coordination, and intensive outreach.
Build Community: Lead site-wide integration events—think BBQs, tenant education workshops, and holiday celebrations—to turn a building into a neighborhood.
Meet People Where They Are: Drive your personal vehicle to meet clients in the community, escort them to vital appointments, and provide "boots-on-the-ground" support.
Coordinate Care: Act as the bridge between residents, San Diego Behavioral Health Services, and the Housing Commission.
Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Expected starting wage range is $22 - $26/hour. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.
