Case Manager / Youth Advocate

Job Title: Case Manager / Youth Advocate
Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday–Friday), 1-2 Saturdays per month
Compensation: $27/hour
Position Type: Part-Time, In-Person

Position Overview

The Case Manager / Youth Advocate provides direct, individualized support to young adults (ages 18–26) aging out of foster care, at risk of homelessness, or struggling to find stability.

This is a highly relational role. The right candidate will be someone who builds trust easily, shows up consistently, and is committed to walking alongside young adults as they work toward stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, client-centered case management services, building consistent, trust-based relationships with young adults to understand their goals, challenges, and barriers to stability
  • Conduct intake interviews, program orientations, and needs assessments using motivational interviewing
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term service plans aligned with client goals
  • Provide trauma-informed care and crisis intervention as needed
  • Coordinate care and connect clients to resources, including housing, food, income, education, healthcare, and mental health services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes and data entry into program systems
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to support participant success
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and program development efforts
  • Support workshops, groups, and community-building activities at the Oasis Resource Center
  • Represent the organization in community partnerships and collaborative networks
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience building relationships with young adults facing housing instability or similar challenges
  • Experience navigating community resources and coordinating services
  • Experience working in collaborative, team-based environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving young adults aging out of foster care, at risk of homelessness, or struggling to find stability
  • High level of integrity, adaptability, and alignment with the organization’s mission
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $27.00 per hour
