Case Tracking Specialist
in the
Litigation Division
.
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Case Tracking Specialist 1-2, depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Salary offered will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected.
The position will be domiciled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, East Baton Rouge Parish. Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory background check, drug testing, and reference verifications.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited College and/or University.

RRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess excellent time management and critical thinking skills; and is able to prioritize tasks and assignments.

Possess tact and diplomacy in order to communicate with other agencies and outside counsel.

Knowledge of legal documents and terminology.

Proficient in Microsoft software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote, and other standard computer software; able to learn new programs and software.

Flexible and adaptable to change within software and case management systems.

Knowledge of court and clerk of court on-line databases.
Job Specification
The duties of the Case Tracking Specialist shall include, but are not limited to the following:

Perform data input and accuracy verification on all data maintained in the case and matter management system.

Educate and train personnel on computer hardware and software databases.

Maintain the case management system and records.
-
Process all documentation related to case assignments.
-
Maintain data on contract defense counsel.
-
Communicate with ORM, LSU, defense counsels, other state agencies, TPAs, and other Litigation Division employees.

Perform any other functions related to case administration.
Job Duties And Other Information
The examples of work for a Case Tracking Specialist shall include, but are not limited to the following:

Receive and review case records and legal documents and identify pertinent information.

Accurately add and update data in the case management system.
-
Process documents related to case assignment and track workflow.
-
Manage electronic mailboxes for case intake and report tracking accurately and efficiently.

Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with others regarding case documents, assignments, and reports.
