Cash Management Analyst — Job Description
Summary Responsible for managing an organization’s cash position, optimizing liquidity, processing cash transactions, and supporting treasury operations to ensure accurate cash flow forecasting, timely settlements, and minimized financing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts, subsidiaries, and currencies; reconcile intraday and EOD balances.
- Manage cash forecasting (short-term: intraday to 30 days; long-term: monthly/quarterly) using historical trends and upcoming cash flows.
- Execute bank transfers, ACH, wire payments, and sweep arrangements; ensure timely settlement and proper authorization.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies; investigate and clear unmatched items and suspense accounts.
- Maintain and optimize bank account structures, signatories, and bank relationships.
- Manage liquidity pooling, notional pooling, and intercompany cash sweeps; coordinate intercompany funding and netting.
- Monitor banking fees and negotiate fee structures; validate bank charges and investigate anomalies.
- Support liquidity risk management and compliance with internal controls, SOX, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cash management policies, procedures, and internal documentation.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cash reports and dashboards for treasury and finance leadership.
- Assist with short-term investments, money market deposits, and cash placement decisions per policy.
- Coordinate with AP, AR, accounting, and tax to align cash forecasts and month-end close activities.
- Implement and maintain cash automation tools (bank portals, SWIFT, host-to-host, ERP cash modules).
- Support bank account openings/closings and onboarding of new banking services.
- Participate in treasury system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation for bank confirmations and treasury controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years’ experience in cash management, treasury operations, accounting, or corporate finance.
- Strong understanding of payments (ACH, wires, SEPA), bank operations, and cash settlement processes.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and familiarity with treasury management systems or ERPs (e.g., Kyriba, GTreasury, SAP Treasury).
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
Desired Skills
- Experience with multi-currency cash management and FX basics.
- Knowledge of short-term investment products and money markets.
- Familiarity with SWIFT, bank connectivity (host-to-host), and API integrations.
- Certifications preferred: ACT (Association of Corporate Treasurers) certifications, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or similar.
- Experience with process automation (VBA, Python, RPA) or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Working Conditions
- Full-time; typically office or hybrid.
- Periodic after-hours work for month-end close, bank reconciliations, or system projects.
Pay: QAR88.20 - QAR162.12 per hour
