Cashier

Cashier, is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system. S/he is responsible for interacting with customers and accepting payment from them for products and services provided.

CASHIER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process sales transactions

2. Receive food checks from waiters or customers

3. Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours

4. Calculate the cost of products or services

5. Calculate and return change when required by the payment method

6. Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change

7. Answer customer questions about products or services

8. Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts

9. Report issues with equipment

10. Work as a team to meet store goals

11. Handle customer complains

12. Process returns and exchanges

13. Maintain clean and tidy checkout area

14. Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise

15. Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently

PREREQUISITES:

Cashier is familiar with the products and services, which is valuable. Two to three years of experience will be preferable in restaurant industry.

EDUCATION:

B.com, ACCA MBA finance

EXPERIENCE:

Cashiers with prior experience will have training with proper cash handling policies as well as common point-of-sale systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs37,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
