Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage daily cash transactions related to building material transportation services. The Cashier will be responsible for receiving payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process cash, card, and digital payments from customers
- Issue invoices, receipts, and delivery payment confirmations
- Record daily transactions accurately in cash books or accounting systems
- Verify transport charges, material delivery fees, and payment amounts
- Balance cash drawers and prepare daily cash reports
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch staff, and accounts personnel regarding payments
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments professionally
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and vouchers
- Assist with basic accounting and office administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Accounting or Finance background is a plus)
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer, accounting principles and cash handling
- Ability to use calculators and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Honest, dependable, and able to work under pressure
