Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product information or demos when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as necessary
• Upsell products by recommending relevant items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions accurately
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team members during busy periods
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
• Experience in customer service roles that require active listening, problem-solving, and friendly engagement
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos to promote store offerings effectively

Pay: Up to $13.00 per hour
