Job Title: Counter / Cashier

Job Summary:

The Counter / Cashier at Bondi Sushi is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, accurately processing maki and takeout orders, and assisting guests with their selections in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests, particularly during peak takeout hours.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly with an appropriate greeting, such as "Welcome to Bondi".
• Ability to make beverages from the Icebergs menu, Coffee, Latte, Matchas, etc.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and mobile payments.
• Capable of working at maki stations.
• Provide exceptional guest service, answering questions and resolving issues.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests.
• Organize takeouts and be the final check point for quality and order accuracy.
• Coordinate catering and delivery orders for the day.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and workstation.
• Be ready and willing to assist other members of the team as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food hygiene, sanitation, and waste management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain a productive and welcoming work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist guests with inquiries and work effectively with team members.
• Experience in a guest service or retail setting, with cashiering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
