Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed to enhance their shopping experience
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including counting cash, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible
• Provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks as directed by supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in advancing into leadership roles
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales processes is highly desirable
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
