Job Summary
The cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures smooth order processing, proper cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized counter area.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders clearly and accurately
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
- Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when needed
Transaction Handling
- Process payments (cash, card, online orders)
- Issue receipts and ensure correct billing
- Manage POS system efficiently
- Handle refunds and exchanges according to company policy
Order Coordination
- Communicate orders clearly with baristas/kitchen team
- Ensure correct order delivery to customers
- Monitor order flow (dine-in, takeaway, delivery platforms like Talabat/Snoonu)
Cash Management
- Maintain accurate cash drawer at all times
- Perform opening and closing cash counts
- Report any discrepancies immediately
Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep cashier area clean and organized
- Ensure menus, displays, and POS area are presentable
- Follow hygiene and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
