Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service with a lively, positive attitude
• Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, restocking supplies as necessary
• Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring displays are attractive and well-organized
• Promote store promotions and upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Supervise or assist new team members in cashiering procedures to ensure smooth operations
• Engage in basic retail math to handle transactions accurately and balance cash drawers at shift end

Skills

• Supervising experience or ability to oversee cashier team during shifts effectively
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers better
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product presentation techniques
• Experience conducting product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not required
• Professional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries confidently
• Basic math skills for balancing registers and processing transactions efficiently
