Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing questions and offering product recommendations
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales
• Manage cash handling duties with precision, including counting cash, giving change, and balancing registers at shift end
• Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers

Qualifications

• Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team

Pay: $21.51 - $25.91 per hour
