Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
• Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including stocking and merchandising as needed
• Upsell products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
• Follow proper phone etiquette when assisting callers or providing information
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting basic merchandising tasks

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are desirable for team support roles
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales, and merchandising practices is advantageous
