Job Title: Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently in a building materials company. This role involves processing payments, issuing invoices, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process payments (cash, credit, debit, bank transfers) from customers
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and payment acknowledgments
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions
  • Handle billing for building materials such as cement, steel, tiles, hardware, etc.
  • Ensure proper pricing and quantity are reflected in invoices
  • Balance cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams regarding orders and deliveries
  • Assist customers with inquiries related to billing and payments
  • Report discrepancies or issues to management immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter
  • Follow company policies and financial procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role in building materials company(advantage)
  • Familiarity with invoicing software.
  • Strong numerical and cash-handling skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple transactions

Working Conditions:

  • Retail or warehouse environment
  • May require standing for long periods
  • Working hours may include weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in building materials industry

Knowledge of building material product.

Basic computer skills (MS Excel, billing systems)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
