Cashier Associate - Richland GWay Location

Our Associates provide an Amazing Customer Experience that ensures customers’ needs are being met and encourages customers to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.

Here at Grigg’s Ace Hardware, our cashiers exemplify the foundation of our service to each customer as they enter and leave the store. Candidates well-suited for our Cashier role are customer-focused, have a friendly and approachable personality, enjoy working as part of a team, and can remain motivated when completing repetitive tasks.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet customers entering the store and thank customers for shopping in our store.
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build a product knowledge base.
• The ability to assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging of merchandise.
• Learn and exemplify the Helpful Ready policy of Grigg’s/ACE Hardware.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Retail cashier experience is a plus; however, not required.
• Learn and exemplify the Helpful Ready policy of Grigg’s/ACE Hardware.
• Must know how to count change back to the customer.
• Great customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Skillful communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent physical stamina.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Pay: $17.13/hr.

Schedule: Part-time, 20-30 hours per week. Workdays will vary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
