Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier cum Accountant with experience in the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall accounting operations to ensure smooth financial management of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Handling & Front-End Operations:
- Manage daily cash transactions, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and handling POS systems
- Ensure accuracy in billing and reconciliation of cash drawers at the end of each shift
- Handle customer queries related to billing in a professional manner
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain daily sales records and reconcile them with POS reports
- Record financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or equivalent)
- Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Monitor expenses, invoices, and vendor payments
- Assist in payroll processing for restaurant staff
- Maintain proper documentation of financial records and receipts
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Assist in audits by providing required financial data
- Identify discrepancies and report them to management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
