Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions about bakery products, and provide excellent customer service
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
• Assist with food preparation including baking, packaging, and maintaining bakery items’ freshness and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area following food safety regulations
• Restock bakery shelves, display cases, and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
• Support food industry best practices by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and managing food safety protocols

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or retail environment preferred; experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell bakery items confidently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and register balancing
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively
• Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to create a welcoming environment for all customers
