Duties

• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately while processing customer transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales.
• Conduct product demos to showcase new items and encourage customer interest.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
• Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide accurate change.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with stock management and product displays is a plus.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
