Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product information or demos to enhance their shopping experience.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and uphold cash handling procedures.
• Upsell products by recommending additional items that meet customer needs, boosting sales and satisfaction.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising efforts.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, ensuring every guest feels valued.
• Support stock management through stocking shelves, organizing displays, and monitoring inventory levels in a grocery store environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with POS systems or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly phone manner to handle inquiries professionally.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash handling tasks.
• Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or grocery store environments is advantageous.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
