Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, offering assistance with product selection and store navigation
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
• Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and promote sales
• Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and inventory counts to support store operations
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, including phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
• Support team efforts through supervising experience when needed, guiding new team members or assisting with training
• Know how to use a fryer we have a hot box
• Be able to multitask

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers and team members
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos is beneficial
• Supervising experience is a plus for supporting team leadership activities
