Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and effective communication is essential.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store layout.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
• Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and perform basic math calculations for transactions.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with cashiering processes and cash handling is essential.
• Basic math skills are required for accurate transaction processing.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is valued.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
