Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service professional to join our retail team! Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist with inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and inventory counts
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
• Follow phone etiquette guidelines when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, stocking shelves, and conducting product demos
