Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Accurately process transactions using the cash register.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
• Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling and register operations effectively.

Skills

• Proficient in basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone.
• Experience in retail sales, particularly in a grocery store setting, is preferred.
• Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Supervisory skills to guide and mentor less experienced team members.
