Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role is essential in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring that all cash handling procedures are followed diligently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions efficiently using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and product offerings to effectively sell items to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Stock shelves and ensure the checkout area is well-organized and clean.
• Follow company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Proficient in cash handling and familiar with cash registers or POS systems.
• Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to customer service and sales.

Franchisees typically rely on Sales Associates to provide outstanding service, maintain a clean, customer friendly environment, stock and merchandise products, and operate the register. Franchisees expect store employees to demonstrate reliability, honesty, and greet customers with a smile.

What might you do?

• Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
• Drive sales through effective communication with customers
• Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in your franchisee’s store
• Perform cashier duties (ring sales and maintain cash control)
• Perform all regular cleaning activities, and other tasks included in your job assignments
• Forecast, order and stock merchandise (with appropriate training)
• Check in merchandise deliveries from vendors

Physical Requirements

While physical requirements for store employees may change depending on your franchisee, the position typically requires constant standing, bending, reaching, frequent lifting of 1-5 lbs, and occasional lifting of up to 40 -50 lbs.
