Casual Restaurant Server (2-5 year exp)

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Casual Restaurant Server with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive service in a lively dining environment. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and efficiently upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk in
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with the kitchen
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain cleanliness and efficiency

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of restaurant serving experience, preferably in fine dining or high-volume environments such as upscale eateries
• Proficiency with POS systems including Toast POS, Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
• Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to boost sales and enhance guest satisfaction
• Experience in food preparation, food industry operations, or culinary background is advantageous
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy; familiarity with cashiering procedures is preferred
• Prior host/hostess or food service experience is beneficial for guest relations roles

Pay: $21.72 - $26.16 per hour
