Job Summary
The Category Executive – Furniture supports the category management team in driving sales, profitability, and operational efficiency of the furniture category. The role involves coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and operations to ensure effective product assortment, pricing accuracy, inventory availability, and smooth execution of category plans.
Key Responsibilities
Category Support & Execution
- Assist in implementing category strategies and merchandising plans
- Support new product launches, SKU creation, and product listings
- Maintain category data, product attributes, and pricing accuracy
- Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with furniture vendors for quotations, product details, samples, and timelines
- Support negotiations by preparing comparative cost sheets and vendor analyses
- Track vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards
Product & Assortment Management
- Support assortment planning across furniture categories (living, bedroom, dining, office, etc.)
- Assist in lifecycle management of products including additions, exits, and replenishments
- Ensure product specifications, finishes, dimensions, and materials are accurately documented
- Very good material knowledge.
Inventory & Operations Support
- Monitor inventory levels and flag stock-out or overstock risks
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for replenishment and dispatch
- Track purchase orders, GRNs, and delivery schedules
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular MIS reports on sales, inventory, margins, and category performance
- Analyze sell-through, aging stock, and slow-moving SKUs
- Share actionable insights with the Category Manager
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with marketing, visual merchandising, content, and design teams
- Support campaign execution and ensure timely availability of products
Coordinate with customer service teams to resolve product-related issues
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Interior Design, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in category operations, merchandising, buying, or retail support
- Basic understanding of furniture materials, construction, and market trends
- Strong MS Excel skills and comfort with data analysis
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
