The Category Analyst on the Walmart Team is responsible for delivering actionable insights and scalable solutions that drive category growth and strengthen Mars Wrigley’s partnership with Walmart. This role provides analytical support to the Category Leadership Team, enabling data-driven decisions that optimize assortment, shelving, and merchandising.
What are we looking for?

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s)
Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years Business Analytics experience preferably in Sales, Category Management, Operations and/or Finance

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
-
Ability to travel 5% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:

CPG industry experience
-
Strong analytical skills
-
Complete understanding of the Category Management process

Experience working with Walmart
-
Experience with Prospace (JDA)
What will be your key responsibilities?

Develop, deliver, and maintain reporting tools and analysis that inform category strategy and customer objectives.

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence product placement, assortment, and merchandising opportunities.

Support the Category Leadership Team with decision-making, problem-solving, and project management across multiple initiatives.

Monitor category trends, shopper behavior, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.

Create scalable, repeatable solutions that improve efficiency and impact for both Mars Wrigley and Walmart.
The expectations of this role are to leverage, where appropriate, solutions/tools such as:
- Space management initiatives such as Prospace (JDA)
- Walmart Scintilla
- Nielsen/IRI/Syndicated Data sources for analysis
- Incrementality tools to optimize the merchandise assortment
