Role Overview


We are seeking a Category Manager – Grocery to lead and drive the performance of our grocery category across Al Meera Oman stores.


The ideal candidate is commercially minded, data-driven, and experienced in grocery retail management, with strong vendor relations and negotiation skills. You’ll play a key role in optimizing product mix, pricing, and promotions to deliver profitable growth and exceptional customer value.



Key Responsibilities


• Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales, profit, and inventory objectives.

• Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost prices, trading terms, and promotional support.

• Plan and manage the grocery assortment based on consumer trends and category performance.

• Work closely with marketing to execute and review promotions and campaigns.

• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal availability and turnover.

• Analyze category performance and provide insights for improvement.

• Benchmark competitors’ pricing and promotional activities.

• Coordinate with supply chain, finance, and operations for smooth execution of category plans.



Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in grocery or FMCG retail category management.

• Must be based in Oman; prior Oman retail experience is essential.

• GCC experience is an added advantage.

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced retail environment.
