Role Overview
We are seeking a Category Manager – Own Brands to lead and grow our private label portfolio.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer needs, product development, sourcing, and branding. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of private label products — from concept to shelf — ensuring differentiation, profitability, and strong brand identity within Al Meera’s stores.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategies to grow Al Meera’s Own Brand portfolio across multiple categories.
• Identify market opportunities, trends, and customer insights to shape product development.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver high-quality, competitively priced products.
• Manage the full product lifecycle — from sourcing and design to packaging, pricing, and launch.
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to build brand awareness and visibility.
• Monitor category performance, profitability, and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with finance, supply chain, and store operations to ensure flawless execution.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–5 years of experience in private label management, category management, or FMCG retail.
• Experience in Oman’s retail sector is essential; GCC experience preferred.
• Strong vendor management, product sourcing, and negotiation skills.
• Creative and analytical mindset with attention to quality and detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
