About the Job:

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Category Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive category growth through effective sourcing strategies, merchandising, and strong vendor management, while leveraging market insights and cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the category strategy in alignment with B.TECH’s overall business objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth product lifecycle management from launch to phase-out.
• Assist in defining product requirements, specifications, and positioning to meet customer needs and strengthen market competitiveness.
• Coordinate with vendors to support negotiations, product availability, and promotional planning.
• Monitor product performance, sales, and profitability, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize the product portfolio.
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive awareness and sales performance.
• Provide product knowledge and category insights to sales teams to enhance in-store and online performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities
• A passion for retail and understanding of market trends
