ABB Process Automation Procurement & Logistics is a key function that delivers value to ABB by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of ABB Process Automation’s third party spend. Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal business partners, the Indirect Materials & Services team of the Process Automation Procurement & Logistics organization helps write the future of safe, smart and sustainable Process Automation.

As the Process Automation Regional Category Specialist for Services Sweden, you are responsible for support Country sourcing initiatives under the leadership of the Swedish Business Partner or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchase materials and services according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. The job requires proactive engagement and partnering with internal customers from various functions and hierarchy levels.

Thanks to your communication and influencing skills, you ensure internal customer alignment and support to deliver customer delight through the implementation of Category Strategies and initiatives. You further establish effective working relationships with regional procurement to ensure alignment and the full realization of the benefits of the Category Strategy.

Main Accountabilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies - Leverage ABB’s global and regional purchasing power to achieve performance targets and align closely with regional Category Leaders to drive effective sourcing initiatives.

• Supplier negotiation and contract management - Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and periodically renew pricelists, terms, and conditions and create and maintain local contract amendments to frame agreements.

• Supplier onboarding and performance evaluation - Collaborate with local buyers to onboard new suppliers and Conduct regular supplier evaluations and provide performance reports to Businesses and Category Managers.

• Operational procurement and sourcing execution - Manage sourcing initiatives under defined thresholds and Initiate purchase orders, confirm deliveries, and monitor supplier performance against PO requirements.

• Stakeholder collaboration and communication - Support country and regional sourcing initiatives by engaging with key stakeholders and Foster clear communication across Divisions and Functions to ensure successful implementation of procurement activities.

• Digital procurement and process optimization -Support catalogue rollouts to maximize hands-free ordering and minimize tactical sourcing and Ensure accurate supplier and material master data for sourcing automation, including running RfQs/eAuctions in SAP Ariba.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years in strategic/operational procurement or extensive expertise in relevant service categories.

• Strong communication and project management abilities, with proven success leading cross-functional teams globally.

• Demonstrated practice in national/international negotiations and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

• Candidates must be comfortable working in the Swedish time zone

• Solid financial and business understanding, with capability in negotiation, change management, and stakeholder management, combined with integrity.

• Business-level fluency in English (additional languages beneficial) and a strong result-oriented mindset.

• University degree required; Business or Engineering preferred.
