Job Title: Catering Store Keeper / Store Assistant

Job Summary:
The Catering Store Keeper / Store Assistant is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and monitoring of food materials and related inventory. This role ensures quality, safety, and accuracy in stock management while supporting kitchen and service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive food material items, dry goods, meat, poultry, vegetables, and beverages as per purchase orders.
- Check quality, freshness, weight, expiry dates, and temperature of perishable items.
- Record daily inward and outward stock in store registers or inventory systems.
- Issue items to kitchen and service departments against approved requisitions.
- Maintain FIFO / FEFO method to minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper storage of dry, chilled, and frozen items in line with food safety standards.
- Monitor daily issuance, receiving, and wastage reports.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of store, chillers, and freezers.
- Coordinate with kitchen chefs and purchasing department.
- Control stock levels and report low stock or overconsumption.
- Ensure compliance with pest control, food safety, and health standards.
- Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly stock taking and audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for departmental issuance and vendor receipts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Minimum F.A. (Intermediate).
- Experience: At least 2 years in a relevant field.
- Computer literate with expertise in data entry.
- Knowledge of stock management, inventory systems, and food safety standards.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and purchasing teams.
Work Environment:
- Physical work in store/warehouse and kitchen-adjacent areas.
- Handling perishable and non-perishable food items.
- Standing, lifting, and movement of stock items may be required.
