Job Title: Catering Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day catering operations, ensuring that all functions and events are executed efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company standards. The role involves coordinating staff, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction throughout all catering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all catering operations, including event setup, food preparation, service, and dismantling.
  • Plan and organize catering schedules, manpower allocation, and logistics for upcoming events.
  • Ensure timely delivery, setup, and presentation of food and beverages as per client requirements.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and service standards during events.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and store teams to ensure the availability of required items and equipment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-event briefings to ensure smooth execution and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in all catering activities.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate catering staff to ensure professional service and teamwork.
  • Handle client inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
  • Prepare event reports and maintain proper records of catering activities and consumption.
  • Assist in cost control, inventory management, and wastage reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Catering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in catering operations, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, event coordination, and food safety practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with catering software or inventory systems.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Arabic speaking preferred (for Qatar or GCC-based roles).
