Key Responsibilities

Event Setup and Preparation
Catering waitresses often assist in preparing the dining area before guests arrive. This includes setting tables with cutlery, napkins, glassware, and table decorations, arranging buffet stations, and ensuring all service areas are clean and organized. They may also help with arranging chairs, linens, and other event-specific items to create a welcoming environment for attendees.

Guest Interaction and Service
During the event, catering waitresses greet guests, take orders if applicable, and serve food and beverages promptly. They must be attentive, polite, and responsive to guest needs, including accommodating dietary restrictions or special requests. Building rapport with guests enhances the overall experience and ensures satisfaction.

Order Handling and Coordination
Catering waitresses communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure that food is delivered accurately and on time. They may assist in portioning dishes, replenishing buffet items, and confirming that all orders meet quality standards before serving.

Table and Area Maintenance
Throughout the event, waitresses clear used dishes, refill drinks, and maintain clean and tidy tables. After the event, they assist in clearing the dining area, packing leftover food, and resetting or breaking down tables and service stations as required.

Catering waitresses may also assist with event logistics, such as coordinating with event planners, helping with decorations, or ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
