CCTV Design & Estimation Engineer – Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CCTV Design & Estimation Engineer to design, estimate, and prepare technical proposals for CCTV and ELV security systems projects. The candidate will be responsible for system design, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, technical documentation, and coordination with clients, vendors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and gather project requirements.
• Design CCTV systems include camera layouts, network topology, storage calculations, and equipment selection.

Prepare:

• BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
• Cost estimates
• Technical proposals
• Compliance statements
• Shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Perform storage and bandwidth calculations for IP CCTV systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and technical compliance.
• Prepare tender documents and support bid submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
• Support project execution teams with technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients during project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related engineering field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CCTV/ELV system design and estimation.

Proficiency in:

• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Excel
• CCTV design software/tools

Strong knowledge of:

• IP CCTV systems
• Networking fundamentals
• Structured cabling
• ELV systems
• Familiarity with international standards and local authority regulations.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
• Knowledge of access control, intrusion alarm, and other ELV systems.
• Vendor certifications are an advantage.
