CCTV Engineer

Job Summary:
A CCTV Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems, IP networking, access control, and other ELV (Extra Low Voltage) security systems. The role ensures reliable system performance while complying with client requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission CCTV systems (IP and Analog).
• Install and configure IP cameras, PTZ cameras, NVRs, DVRs, video encoders, and PoE switches.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of CCTV systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Configure remote viewing through mobile applications and web platforms.
• Install and terminate Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables.
• Perform camera alignment, focus adjustment, and video quality optimization.
• Configure video management software (VMS) such as Milestone, HikCentral, Digifort, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar platforms.
• Integrate CCTV systems with Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, Fire Alarm, and Building Management Systems (BMS), where applicable.
• Prepare testing and commissioning reports, as-built drawings, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams during installation and handover.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., SIRA, ADMCC, MCC, or other applicable standards).
• Provide user training and technical support after project completion.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain quality standards on site.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IP networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing).
• Experience with CCTV camera installation and configuration.
• Knowledge of NVR, DVR, RAID storage, NAS, and server systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards (Cat5e/Cat6/Fiber).
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with VMS software and remote monitoring systems.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in CCTV/ELV system installation and maintenance.

Pay: AED1,800.23 - AED2,200.19 per month
