CCTV Technician

The Taleb Group of Companies in Doha, Qatar is now hiring for CCTV Technician job position.

Job Location: Doha, Qatar

Salary: negotiable - based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and mount CCTV cameras (IP/Analog), NVRs, DVRs, monitors, and associated equipment.
• Run, pull, and terminate various types of cables (Cat6, coaxial, fiber optic) for CCTV and other low-voltage systems.
• Perform conduit installation, trunking, cable tray mounting, and labeling of cables and devices.
• Ensure neat and organized cabling and equipment layout as per project drawings.
• Configure CCTV systems, including camera IP addressing, network settings, and recording parameters.
• Integrate cameras with NVRs/DVRs, network switches, and video management software.
• Conduct functional testing, image focusing, and performance verification.
• Assist engineers during system commissioning and client handover.
• Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance of CCTV and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in cameras, cabling, power supplies, and network connectivity.
• Replace defective components and ensure minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support for upgrades and expansions.
• Maintain detailed service reports, installation checklists, and cable test records.
• Update as-built drawings and device lists upon completion.
• Report material requirements and field issues to the supervisor or engineer. Follow all company and site safety rules and use appropriate PPE.
• Ensure safe handling of tools, ladders, and electrical connections.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field.
• 2-4 years of experience in CCTV and low-voltage system installation.
• Strong knowledge of IP and analog CCTV systems, cabling standards, and networking basics.
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings, schematics, and connection diagrams.
• Familiarity with power supplies, PoE switches, and structured cabling.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or under supervision in field environments.
• Ability to communicate in English
