CDL-A Driver – Live Chick Hauling – Part-Time and Full-Time

Myers Poultry Farm LLC is seeking dependable CDL-A Drivers for current and upcoming regional transportation positions involving live chick hauling based out of South Fork, Pennsylvania.

Drivers will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of live poultry (chicks), including loading and unloading, performing vehicle inspections, completing paperwork, and maintaining a professional company image. We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions and are looking for individuals who want to grow with a family-owned agricultural business.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport live poultry (chicks) on regional routes
• Load and unload the correct amount of cargo onto the truck
• Ensure proper care of chicks while in transit
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to assure vehicle safety
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and report maintenance or mechanical issues to management
• Observe and report delivery or pickup issues.
• Follow all driving laws, DOT regulations, and company procedures
• Properly complete and turn in required paperwork
• Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
• Represent the company professionally on the highway and at farms or customer locations
• Be courteous and professional at all times
• Assist with related transportation and delivery duties as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Good driving record
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate / DOT Physical Card
• Authorized and able to cross state lines
• Able to pass pre-employment drug testing
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
• Able to handle flexible hours
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Poultry, hatchery, agricultural, or live-haul experience is a plus, but not required
• Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to pull chick tray stacks
• Able to work while sitting, standing, squatting, and kneeling
• Able to safely perform loading and unloading duties
