Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers equipped with manual transmissions, ensuring safe handling and compliance with all traffic laws.
• Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning optimal paths and maintaining timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Secure freight properly for transport, utilizing appropriate tie-downs and safety measures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with tractor-trailers.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
• Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures, route driving strategies, and freight handling safety standards.
• Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and securing cargo safely.
