CDL A Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer

Windfield is growing quickly, and we are looking for an experienced driver to join our fleet! Our ideal candidate is a reliable and dependable team member with experience in delivering and transporting materials.

A clean driving record and top-notch customer service skills are a must. Experienced, safety conscious, and customer-focused drivers encouraged to apply!

Requirements:

• CDL A drivers license in good standing
• Minimum of 12 months verifiable tractor trailer experience
• Must live in 50 mile radius of 03811
• Full-time, Monday - Friday
• Local delivery

Responsibilities:

• Transport and deliver scrap metal, waste, and electronics in a safe and timely manner to Windfield customers.
• Represent Windfield when delivering material to customer and partner facilities.
• Always put safety first and will always wear appropriate PPE.
• Should prefer working in a team environment but be comfortable working on independent tasks
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
• Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning optimal paths for timely deliveries and pickups
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and address any route or vehicle issues promptly

Day-to-day expectations:

• Pre-inspect truck, coordinate loading the materials with facility supervisors, verify load for accuracy
• Set up job perimeters by inspecting the site to ensure a safe environment to unload
• Communicate regularly with Windfield Logistics Supervisor to ensure timely material delivery at facilities
• Keep logbook up-to-date at all times
• Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Tenured experience transporting and delivering material across New England
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide great customer service
• Mechanic experience is a plus, but not required
• Roll-off and dump trailer experience is a plus, but not required
• Waste or recycling industry is a plus, but not required.
