CDL Driver

READY MIX CONCRETE TRUCK OPERATOR

Core Responsibilities:

· Operating the Mixer Truck:

Safely drive the truck equipped with a concrete mixer, ensuring the concrete remains in a liquid state through agitation until delivery.

· Delivery and Unloading:

Maneuver the truck to designated areas on construction sites, control the concrete discharge using chutes, and ensure it's delivered to the correct location.

· Truck Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain the truck's cleanliness, and make minor repairs as needed.

· Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations, including those from DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA.

· Communication:

Maintain contact with the dispatcher/plant manager, report job status, and communicate any mechanical issues.

· Following Instructions:

Read and understand delivery tickets, follow dispatch instructions, and complete tasks as required.

· Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and reliable deliveries.

· Other Duties:

May be assigned other duties related to the plant and grounds, such as shoveling or sweeping.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid CDL (Class B or higher): Required for operating heavy-duty trucks.
• Safe Driving Record: Demonstrated ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Basic Mechanical Knowledge: Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other construction workers.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to read and understand delivery tickets and instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
