Job Title: CDL Class A Driver

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports to: Transportation Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up customer linen in a timely and professional manner within assigned routes utilizing box or trailer trucks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVER A MANUAL (STICK SHIFT)
• Operates a company owned delivery vehicle on established or alternate route as scheduled.
• Delivering carts in the most time-efficient manner and collecting signed delivery tickets.
• Validates the content of delivery by performing a reconciliation of carts to be delivered to customer and from customer.
• Performs pre and post truck inspections daily.
• Maintains the condition of the delivery truck including gas and keeping it clean.
• Provides reports about any interruptions and other concerns.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations.
• Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries.
• Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather and strict deadlines according to our business needs.
• Will provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff at all times.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL (STICK SHIFT)
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Class A driver’s license.
• Must have 3 or more years related experience.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work independently, be responsible for route, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
• Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
• Must be able to performance basic math operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• The ability to effectively meet customer needs.

Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50 per hour
