Position Overview

Cavossa Disposal Corporation is seeking dependable, safety-focused CDL Drivers (Class A or B) to join our growing team. This position offers a variety of driving responsibilities across multiple divisions, including Front Load, Roll-Off, Swap Load, Material Delivery, and Tractor Trailer operations.

We are looking for drivers who are adaptable, professional, and comfortable operating different types of equipment based on daily operational needs. Opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time schedules, including flexible schedules for retirees, first responders, or drivers seeking supplemental income.

Drivers may operate:

  • Front Load Trucks
  • Roll-Off Trucks (15–30 yard containers)
  • Swap Load / Hook Lift Trucks
  • 6-Wheelers for material delivery
  • Tractor Trailers (Class A drivers only)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Collect, transport, exchange, place, and dump containers at customer locations and disposal facilities
  • Operate front-load trucks servicing commercial dumpsters and waste containers
  • Haul materials, equipment, and waste safely between job sites, transfer stations, and disposal facilities
  • Secure loads and ensure safe transport at all times
  • Maintain accurate logs, route sheets, tickets, and required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, timing, schedule changes, and operational needs
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all stops
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment
  • Assist with general yard, site, or operational tasks as needed
  • Adapt to changing routes, priorities, and business demands throughout the workday
  • Follow all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations

Schedule Options

Depending on division and operational needs, schedules may include:

  • Early morning or overnight start times (12:00 AM – 3:00 AM)
  • Daytime routes and deliveries
  • Full-time schedules
  • Flexible part-time schedules (2–3 days per week)

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A or B License
  • Current USDOT Medical Card
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of CDL driving experience
  • Waste management, construction, excavation, or heavy equipment experience
  • Experience operating Front Load, Roll-Off, Swap Load, Hook Lift, or Tractor Trailer equipment
  • Ability to operate multiple truck types
  • OSHA certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Frequent climbing in and out of truck cabs
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to safely perform physical and hands-on job duties
  • Ability to remain alert and safety-focused while driving for extended periods
