Job Purpose
The CDL – Municipal Driver position is responsible for providing support across multiple municipal routes. The Municipal Driver ensures all assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Perform driving duties as required, ensuring timely and safe servicing of waste containers.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections daily to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Communicate with Maintenance Team to ensure proper asset repair & maintenance.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to confirm schedules, addresses, and any special instructions.
- Efficiently use the OBC tablet regarding route schedules, sequencing, and disposal.
- Remain in compliance with all State, Federal, and Company laws, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Use safe and efficient driving techniques, proper use of equipment, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety within all County Waste Service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and audits to ensure compliance and
awareness company wide.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge.
Working Conditions
The CDL- Municipal Driver may work in various conditions and can be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, dusty conditions, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals, and noxious fumes and odors in both indoor and outdoor environments. Travel and working in various locations may be required occasionally.
